Westside Netball Club was established in 2005 with a clear vision: to provide ambitious, talented players with the opportunity to train, compete, and thrive at the highest level available to them. Today, we are proud to be a progressive, welcoming, and forward-thinking club with an exciting future ahead.
Our Competitive Pathway
We offer a strong, structured player pathway from grassroots through to regional performance. We have teams competing in a variety of leagues including the Herefordshire Netball League, the Gloucester Netball League and at regional level in the West Midlands Regional League.
- Senior Squad: currently competing in the Gloucester Premier League (Saturdays, October–April)
- Under 19s, Under 16s & Under 14s Regional Squads: currently compete in the West Midlands Regional League (Dec-April)
- Under 14s: Also competing in the Gloucester League from Oct 2026
- Under 13 Development Squad: can play in a West Midland Regional Development League
We also have teams made up from these squads representing Westside in the Herefordshire League in Division 2 and Division 3, with our senior and U19s/U16s players dispersed into Division 1 teams.
We are committed to helping players progress through the performance pathway, supporting both individual development and competitive success.
Our Youth Section
Our Young Westsiders programme continues to provide fun, accessible sessions for younger players. Our junior programme is growing rapidly and forms the heart of our club. At this stage, our focus is firmly on:
- Developing fundamental movement and netball skills
- Building confidence and game understanding
- Creating an environment full of energy, encouragement, and enjoyment.
We believe that by getting the basics right and keeping the game fun at a younger age, players will develop the foundations needed to succeed long-term and move confidently into competitive pathways.
- Under 12s (Year 7) & Under 11s (Year 6): play local friendly fixtures with the possibility of an U12s West Midlands Regional Development league in 2026.
- Under 10s (Years 4–5): playing local friendly fixtures and tournaments.
- Under 8s (Years 2–3): launching this September, where the focus is on fun, enjoyment, the basics required while building skills and fitness for all sport and physical activity.

Training Information
- U14s 6-7.30pm on Mondays at Point4
- U16s/U19s and Seniors 7.30-9pm on Mondays at Point4, Hereford.
- U12/U11s 6.30-8pm on Fridays at St Marys High School, Lugwardine.
- U10s 5-6.30pm on Fridays at St Marys High School, Lugwardine.
- U8s Training time, evening and venue TBC.
