England Netball Pathway

The England Netball Player Pathway is designed to identify and nurture talented athletes as they progress through each stage of their development. From local County Academies to Regional and National programmes, the pathway provides structured opportunities for players to grow their skills, experience high-level coaching, and take their netball to the next level.

England Roses development framework

The Player Pathway, or England Roses development framework is the England Netball process for developing athletes with the attributes to attain excellence. The programmes within the pathway are focused on developing athletes to reach their potential and form the foundations to enable England Netball to achieve its ambition of being the world’s best female sports team.

The pathway is intended to be a guide for supporting coaches and selectors in preparing the next generation of talented players. Its goal is to provide a ‘shared language’ – a consistent approach to identifying, developing and aiding the progression of athletes towards playing netball at an international level.

Birmingham Panthers Pathway

The Birmingham Panthers pathway is the next step in the England Roses development framework, after the County U15 player development programme.

As the NSL team for the region, the Birmingham Panthers franchise places a clear emphasis on nurturing talent, and plays an important role in each player’s journey towards the England Roses.

Trials for the Birmingham Panthers will be taking place in September/October.
