Walking Netball
Walking Netball is a gentler, slower-paced version of the sport we all enjoy – played
entirely at a walking pace. Women (and men!) have embraced Walking Netball for
the fun, laughter, and social connection it fosters, alongside the many health
benefits. It offers an the off-the-court experience that is just as important as the on-
the-court experience.

Who is it for?
This adapted form of netball is open to everyone, regardless of age or fitness level.
Whether you’ve had to step away from the game due to injury or thought you’d hung
up your trainers for good, Walking Netball welcomes you back. It provides a great
way to stay active, combat isolation and an opportunity to those who do not deem
themselves fit enough to run anymore. It is also for people who have never played
before, it’s a community that is fantastic for helping people stay active and healthy
for longer.

What can I expect?
Walking Netball sessions are designed to be fun and flexible, and largely follow the same formats as any other netball session, including a warm-up, mini-games and drills followed by a friendly game.
You do not need any special kit to take part, just clothes that you feel comfortable exercising in and suitable footwear (ideally trainers that lace up) and make sure you bring some water to your session.
